Week 2 Refection

WHAT: On Wednesday Room 15 went to the gym but we had to walk there and we got very wet because it was raining. When we got there we were told to take our shoes off and wait  until the other kids were done. When it was time to go on the mat we did  some activities like join our body parts together like elbows and  knees. After we did our activities we got split into groups and sent out. Yesterday we got taught a new program called Photo Story 3. Mrs Larsen showed us with the gym photos and it looked fun.

SO WHAT: This week I learn't how communicate with precision.

NOW WHAT:Next week I want to learn more new programs. Next week I  want to slow down and complete my work correctly.

Room 15's Item

Last Friday Room 15 did a item it was called 'Once Upon A Hundred Years Nap'. We had only a week to do it and we were really good. My Characters name was Marc Cedes, he was the coach driver and I was going to Hawaii. I had my Glasses on and a Hawaiian hat. Isaiah was sleeping Beauty, Kahu was Prince Charming and Jake was Merrywell Charming. They were the main Characters.

Our Inquiry

For Inquiry we make a glog about the Earth, day, night and why we have seasons. I put into a video about night and day. This is mine.

Writing Activity

We have been learning how to plan correctly and to make our main ideas make sense and use supporting information. Fun is not a main idea because its not what you did. Mrs Larsen showed  us a site called Bubble us and its like a program that you can  make brainstorms in. We had to plan a story about Rutherford and here's mine. 

Vist To The Museum

Today Room 15 and 6 went to the Museum. We got split up into 2 groups and taken to our cool activity. The person that took us said that we had to take shoes off then we went into the cosmodome. It looked like we were outside someones house and the sun was right there. It was so amazing. I had never seen anything like it before. My favorite part is where he showed us Matariki, the mum and her 6 children Waita,  Waiti, Tupuanuku, Tupuarangi, Waipunarangi and Ururangi. After we had been in the Cosmodome Awhina showed us to celebrate Puanga. We can play games.

Free Writing

W.A.L.T Check Story Makes Sence 


In the weekend My dad was here and he went to the movies with me and we watched Men in Black . Men in black was enjoyable because Will Smith played a character that went back in time to save his friend  K and Will Smiths name was J . The next day my dad watched my rugby game and we won by 63-0 I loved that rugby game it was so fun because I got player of the day and I scored 4 tries against Ruheupu.

Striving for Accuracy

We have been focusing on a new habit. We had to draw a picture of a time when we made a mistake. Mine was that I make fun of people when they get out in a game and I got sin binned. Now when we play games and people get out I strive for accuracy and I don't say anything and I just mind my own business.

Week 4 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday a very good artist called Graham Braddock came to our school. Firstly he showed us some of his drawings and then we started to draw the possum that he had. We had to do little dots and make a square so we can fit the body on the page. Secondly we had to draw another square so the head can fit. When we started to draw the possum we were not allowed to do really dark lines. When we were done it looked so awesome. Today we got to do some really fun stuff on our own blog like we had to change our names on the blog and we got to put a profile picture on it.


SO WHAT: This week I got some nice tips on drawing like to do some really nice shading. This week I learnt it's important to persist in everything.


NOW WHAT: My goal next week is to finish my work. Next week I want to finish my Picasso face.

Week 3 Reflection

WHAT:On Thursday we went to buddy art with Room 12 and we were drawing Picasso faces. My buddy Emily drew her face and it looked like it was a scary boy. On Thursday we did some Maori and we did feelings like makariki-cold, wera-hot and heaps more. On Monday we went to Rutherford again and did PE and Music. For Music we got to have a go on the drums and guitar. At PE the teacher showed us a new game and it was like football and netball.


SO WHAT: I learn't how to say some more Maori.


NOW WHAT: My goal is to be a king on the success-o-meter and I want to finish more work on time.


  

Week 2 Reflection

WHAT: On Monday from now on we go to Rutherford Junior High and we  do music and PE. For music we get to play on the piano and the guitar. On the piano I can play Mary had a little lamb and twinkle twinkle little star. On Thursday we made our favorite character in our favorite book. I picked an old man. You use a toilet roll and coloured paper to create them.


SO WHAT:This week I learn't how to make a reading bug.


NOW WHAT: Next week I want to play more games and I want to be a lion on the success-o-meter.    

PMI

MY AWESOME HOLIDAY

Plus: It was my brother’s birthday and he was 1. His birthday wasn’t that big but there were heaps of kids.

Minus: I was really annoyed at the weather in Tamaranui because it was so cold I had to wear my dressing gown in bed and my slippers. At night one time it was like a massive storm. It was scary.

Interesting: My brother’s cake was funny because it had a number 3 drawn in the cake even though he was only one. When me, my Dad, step mum and brother went to Auckland we went for a big walk and we went by the Hilton. We saw Grant Fox and One Direction.

New Teacher

Today Isaiah was our teacher  and he taught us a really cool program. It was Excel and we got to make 2 graphs about Room 15's favourite colours.

Exploring parliament

Our Amazing Spirit Day

On our school spirit day we had people in our class that dressed up as captain under pants and rugby players.When it was time to go to the parade there were heaps of different heroes. Mrs Larsen was Harry Potter and  Mrs McAvoy was Peter Jackson. When the parade was over Mrs Larsen took a picture of us. At assembly Mr Peterson said which class was the best and we won. I got up and got the helping hand cards for us.

Fordell Trip

We learnt this new programme where we can make a comic. So we made a comic about the Fordell Trip.

Week 9 Reflection

WHAT: On Wednesday Room 15 had their swimathon and I budded up with Tarron and I told him to go first and he did so I did his tally for him and he did 27 laps. Then it was my turn and I did 23. Today Mrs Larsen taught us to download Comic Life and we made a comic about the Fordell trip that we went on Thursday. We went to Fordell school and to a sheep farm and a dairy farm.


So What: This week I learn't how to pace myself in running.


Now What: My goal is to get a king on the success o meter and I would like to play more games for free time.

Our Special Vistor

 Today Mrs O’ Conner’s Sister was our special visitor Lyn, she came to talk about prison. She was working at the prison as a prison officer and told us what the prison looks like and what kind of food they get there, like for breakfast they have yucky, yucky  porridge and for lunch  they have  roll’s with marmite and butter mixed together and finally for tea they have mince and vegetables. She showed us what wire at the top of the prison fences looks like and said that if any one tried to escape they would get sliced open.

Where I Live

   
I  live in Wanganui New Zealand.  In Wanganui  we have we have a tower, the Durie Hill Tower,which you can walk up At my house I like to go for swims and dive into the pool.In Wanganui we have a really cool lake ,Virginia Lake and you can walk around it and  feed the birds and ducks. In Wanganui we have really cool police men and their job is to -protect PROPERTY and PEOPLE.                                                                                             

Purple Cake Day

Purple Cake Day  Celebrates the kids and it brings hope to them by fundraising  for those in need.

Today Room 15 had  a cerebration  for Purple Cake Day so we went to our buddy class Room 9 with Mrs Steedman. We took paper and purple paint to Room 9 and a nice treat. When we got there we got budded up  and my buddy was Logan. After we had done our finger pictures we had to go wash our hands then we had our yummy treat. It was some cup cakes, then we had to find out what it said. It said Purple Cake Day .

Week 6 Reflection

WHAT: Today we did some tests like spelling, basic facts test and we got to play games after our spelling and I got a 100% on spelling and basic facts I did alright.Yesterday I got 10 ticks and I  got some m@m's and I thought they were nice.


So what: I learnt that division  is easy.


Now What: play more games.  

Week 5 Reflection

What: On Thursday we had Purple Cake Day. We had to come dressed in purple and we could donate money to get a cupcake. In the afternoon we went to our buddy class and did some finger painting. We had more purple cupcakes. Today we had a School Spirit Day and we had to dress up as your hero. I was an All Black. It was fun.

So What: I learnt I can do better at basic facts if i think.

Now What: My goal is to be King of the Den.

Week 3 Reflection

WHAT: On Tuesday we did a listening test and all the Year 6's had to listen to these stories on the stereo and it was tiring but I did it. Yesterday we had swimming and I got put in the backstroke group and we had fun time. It was cool.


SO WHAT: I learnt to make a be funky and put it on my blog.


NOW WHAT: My goal is to do 5 laps for fitness and I would like to do more fun time.
