Reading Activity

In class during reading we have been learning how to create a imagine in our mind from the text. This week we have been reading Summing Up Dad.

A part I created was.............

search  for clear plastic 2-litre containers filled with white liquid(possibly hiding behind last nights leftover sausages).

Week 5 Reflection

WHAT:On Tuesday the whole entire senior school had athletics. There were six activities. There was long distance running, sprint's, vortex, shot put, high jump and long jump. On Thursday the year 6's went to kapa haka to learn more waiatas because it's for our leaving assembly.

SO WHAT: This week I learn't how to pass a lot better at badminton. I think I have been trying hard in our habit of mind finding humour because I have made heaps of new jokes like how do you make a tissue dance put a little boggy in it.

NOW WHAT: Next week I want to play more games. My goal is  to focus and finish my work in time.

Our main characters were Tarron as Wolf, Tic was Keylen, Jake and Kahu were also pigs and their names were Tac and Toe. The medium characters were me as Cinderella,  Casey as Snow White and Hansel and Gretel was Cole and Joshua. After the play I felt really  proud of myself.

Contract - 10 Different Uses

For our Contract we got given heaps of activities to do and I picked 10 different uses where you have to write 10 things you can use your co2 car for.

You can use a co2 car as a racing car.

You can also use a co2 car as a gift for someone.

You can use it to pick someone to play with you by
spinning it around.

You can use a co2 car as a statue on you window sill.

You can use the co2 car to jump over bigger jumps and get better at jumping over jumps with the co2 car.

You can use it at a dirt track.

You can see if it can beat a real car.

You can use it to push your clothes.

A CO2 car can be used as a trophy.

You can use a CO2 car as a toy.

Contract

For our contract there are activity's based on our inquiry for us to do. I picked the red hat activity, where you have to make a wordle about feelings you would have if you won a Co2 car race.

Week 3 Reflection

WHAT: On Wednesday Room 15 went to badminton. First at badminton we did our stretches then we got into groups and we played a game where you have to do paper, scissors, rock  and whoever won would have to run to the other side of the court before the person that lost tagged you. After the stretches and game we got to buddy up and do some skills. On Thursdays for the rest of the year Room 6,5,15 year 6's are training for their leavers haka and we have been taught a new waiata and a new haka and Elijah is leading our haka and Grace is too.

SO WHAT: This week I learned how to do a new haka and a new waiata. This week I have been working hard on the Habit's of mind taking responsible risks by not picking up a dead bird.

NOW WHAT: My goal is to never give up and always try something new. Next week I want to play a lot more games.

Bear Grylls

For our Habits of mind we been learning about taking responsible risks. For our activity we picked a character from a book and we wrote about how they take responsible risks. I  chose Bear Grylls. Bear Grylls takes irresponsible risks because he goes into endangered jungles and deserts and climbs up massive snow hills and he also climbed Mount Everest.
